==Resumé==<br />
Grev Champignac har været i Grønland og gjort en fantastisk videnskabelig opdagelse. Han har fundet et 50 millioner år gammelt æg. Grev Champignac gør alt for at få ægget tilbage til civilisationen. Til at udruge ægget får han hjælp af forskerkollegerne [[Schwartz]] og [[Black]], atomforskeren [[Sprtsch]] og biologen [[Clausen]]. Snart overværer greven, Splint, Kvik, Spip og spirillen, hvordan en plateosaurus udklækkes og på en nat bliver kæmpestor. Hvor meget ødelæggelse kan en enorm dinosaurus nå sprede i omgivelserne?<br />
