[[Morten Schmidt]] er folkeskolelærer og arbejdede som sådan på Grønland i 1980'erne. Der påbegyndte han denne historie om åndemaneren Imaka og matrosen Frederiks søgen i 1909 efter den danske grønlandsforsker Ejnar Mikkelsens forliste skib "Alabama". <br />
Under forsøget på at genfinde ekspeditionen hvirvles de ind i dramatiske begivenheder med blodhævn, hæsblæsende slædefart og venskab.<br />

Morten forsøger med denne historie at komme til forståelse med den grønlandske kultur og mytologi, men tegner i en endnu ufærdig tegneseriestil i forhold til hans senere arbejder.<br />
